When Nipsey Hussle announced that he would be selling his new mixtape "Crenshaw" for $100 a piece, fans and artists alike scoffed at his puzzling move. Despite the peculiarity of the situation, Nipsey explained himself and gave decent reasons for why he chose to go through with his "I Am Proud 2 Pay" campaign.
At least one rapper was feeling Nipsey's move. Jay Z reportedly bought up 100 of the 1,000 copies Nipsey is selling, and if you can't do math, that's a whopping $10,000.
Hov posted a picture of the 100 copies of Nipsey's tape on Life and Times, confirming the rumor.
"I have over 400k followers on Twitter 140k on Instagram and 400k on Facebook, but what good are they if they don't mobilize around my releases?" he explained to RapRadar. "If only 1,000 of those people are engaged to the point of brand loyalty then that's who I'm focused on."
Nipsey owes Hov a big thank you.
