I came to Nashville from Memphis, Tennessee in the fall of 1994. I graduated from Tennessee State University in 1998 with a degree in Speech Communication, and again in 2002 with a Masters in Business Administration (MBA).
I host the Midday show (10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) for The Beat. In my 8 years as a radio personality, I have served as mix show DJ from 10pm – 2 am as well as night jock 1998 – 2001 before moving to middays in 2002.
Over the course of the past eleven years, I have served many roles in the Nashville community. I am a past Board member for the Association for Non-Profit Executives, a member of the Urban League Young Professionals and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and a graduate of Young Leaders Council. I have volunteered or served on committees for organizations including the Nashville Youth Alliance, YMCA, CEO Academy, and the Middle Tennessee Council of Boy Scouts of America.
I attend Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church and am married to the former Leah Allen, a construction engineer. We have one son whose name is Zy.
